Our aim is to build community safely and respectfully - We do not share your personal information beyond our Lakes Association.
You are welcome to comment, question or challenge any of the ways we manage your information by: email to TTCBLakes@gmail.com, in conversation with Association Executive or Lake reps, or via Facebook comment.
WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT:
• Name, Lakes Address, phone number, Email - via membership documents you send us or Lake Rep contact
- in the past we have also collected home addresses and home telephone numbers - we no longer collect this information.
· Your questions, concerns and ideas
· Dues paid through Interac direct deposit provide no account number references. Dues paid by cheque are voided and destroyed following electronic deposit. A copy of the cheque is available through your financial institution
HOW WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION:
• On TTCBLakes@gmail.com Google drive
• Spreadsheet - backed up on President, Treasurer and Membership Lead home computers.
• Google contacts - labeled with your lake or shore
• Questions, concerns, ideas document on Google drive
• Facebook info is managed by your personal privacy settings
WHO SEES YOUR INFORMATION
· President, Treasurer, Membership Lead - all information on spreadsheets (name lakes address, phone number), contact list and emails to TTCBLakes@gmail.com
· Other executive members may have access to TTCBLakes@gmail.com account in the event the President is not available.
· Lake Representatives - Name, Lakes Address, Email information and membership status for their respective lake/ shore only.
· President, Vice President Treasurer, Secretary, Membership Lead, Lake Representatives. Concerns and ideas. These are also occasionally shared with local lake associations along Limberlost Road.
· Facebook Admin - asks for Lakes address to verify authenticity and may ask your name if you use an avatar/alternate Facebook identity. This is to ensure that members of the group are owners and/or family members on one of our lakes to protect the privacy of group members.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
· We respond to emails you send us.
· We email newsletters, event notices, and Association documents to you
· We visit you in person to deliver helpful information and have friendly conversations.
· Within Facebook we may direct message you in Messenger.
· We present the Treasurer's report, and membership status at our Annual General Meeting.
WHERE YOUR INFORMATION MAY APPEAR
· Outbound emails - we generally send to our own address and blind copy Lake or Shore Groupings to keep your email address confidential
· Your name may appear on our lakesoflimberlost.ca website if your are an Association executive or Lake Rep, or as part of Community meeting minutes or Facebook .
· Your name may show up in the body of a newsletter we distribute.
· Other uses of your name will be with your permission in each case.
